there is hardly any activity on this thread even with only two days to decision deadline for 1st round

True that. I see 5 admits on Smith decision tracker: 2 US, and 1 from Brazil, India, and unknown location each. Has anyone created whatsapp group for admits?

Posting here interview debriefs of previous Smith applicants for those who are preparing for their interviews.

I had my on campus interview with Smith in February 2014. The whole process was very well managed.
I was welcomed by a 2nd year before the interview. He was extremely friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. We chatted about 15 minutes before I headed for my interview. I interviewed with the Dean of Admissions and had a great time overall. I believe it was my best interview of the season. She made sure I understood that the culture and community were crucial aspects at Smith and these were reinforced by the relative small class size - just above 100. She was very friendly, asked soft and easy behavioral questions. There were no specific surprises during the interview. Although I was taken aback by some of the questions at the end testing me with different combinations of scholarships vs schools I had applied to, I thought it was fair game and answered honestly. Great experience overall from the welcome to interview.

I had a skype interview. It was a friendly one with the following questions(these are the ones I can recollect):
1) Walk me through your resume.
2) Why Smith
3) What do you expect from the school
4) What can you give to the school
5) Post MBA goals
6) Post MBA target companies and work location
7) What other than networking would you want to learn from Smith
8) Any questions for us
Hope this helps.

Had a really great interview today. Very conversational and the interviewer kept cracking jokes :o :-D
Mostly had the same questions. Extra ones:
1) Tell me something about yourself
2) Which companies and market space do I want to work for in the future
3) Whether I am aware about the strict visa regulations. What will I do if my work visa gets rejected?
4) Questions about my extra curricular activities

My Interview was with Maria, and I struggled some what. Questions were very practical and were mostly in followup to whatever I said, unlike most schools who will say "That was nice" and move on to next question. e.g. I was asked about my goals, then next question was what if my short term goal doesn't materialize.. what is my plan B.. then what is Plan C.. then Since I have a Plan C... why I think Plan A wont work.
I was also asked what I look for in an MBA program primarily.
What programs I have applied to.
What is the common factor among the schools I mentioned
Why I want to come to smith.
In my interview, there were no behavioral questions.

Just had a interview with Kecia...Wasn't like the others i had till now. She was very practical and i think she felt that i am jumping the gun with my MBA goals. The interview went for abt 20-25 mins and then for the next 10 mins she spoke about the placements and problems Indian students face. She provided a good insight of things people ignore when applying for a MBA. Overall a good experience even though i am sure i will not get in. If you get an opportunity to talk to her utilize it to the fullest.

Interview invite. Heard via email. Very excited.

P.S - I was a bit taken aback on how inactive this forum is, especially given how amazing UMD is!
