I wouldn't say that. I reached out to the admissions office asking for my application status. They told me that they are still reviewing the applications and will get back by Jan 29th. Let's see what happens.

You should hear one of the following from the Adcom about your status ?
Wait Listed W/o interview or
Interview Invite (however if the adcom releases an invite on Jan 29, they possibly cannot give a decision before the decision notification date)
Rejected or
accepted (of course the interview would have been conducted by then) or
Wait listed after interview
Am I missing something here?
