If you go by the rankings, then only ISB and IIM-A are above KF. What other schools are you talking about? Of the likes of IIM K, I, S, MDI, NITIE etc?

Hey guys, congrats to all who got admitted! I got admitted without scholarships, so I have a question to those who did get them - did you talk about it with the adcom? was there any point at your application process that you discussed it with someone from the school? I didn't want to talk about it because I thought it wouldn't be a good sign, and I'm thinking now whether I should have been more active asking for a scholarship. Good luck to everyone!

This is strictly my personal opinion, nothing more. I would say, curriculum-wise IIMs do come close to what any decent school outside India would offer. However, the differentiating factor would be the network and nature of job opportunities post the degree. For starters, those archaic laws should first be dropped so that IIMs can award MBA instead of PG Diploma!

I never mentioned it to the adcom. I didn't really have any interaction with the adcom outside of my interview, though I did chat with one of the student ambassadors quite a bit. Even in those conversations I tried to stay away from talking about the money.

Actually Occult, based on the rankings... Businessweek - Duke #1, UNC #12, UVA #20 Forbes - Duke #8, UNC #11, UVA #15 US News - Duke #14, UNC #19, UVA #11 This is not to say that UNC is better or worse than Duke and UVA, but I think it's reasonable to deem them peer schools (especially UVA).

I know there is at least a facebook group. Go to your admitted students portal and there is a link on the left hand side that says "Connect with Your Classmates." This points you to a handful of sites.
