I got Waitlisted on March 13, but responded to my admissions contact that I had a decision/deposit deadline March 26th. I stated that I could not push it back anymore and that if they couldn't reach a final decision by then, I would have to move foward.

Since I applied pressure in terms of a deadline with another school, I'm not sure when they will send out decisions after their meeting today.

My acceptance came in an email, with a scholarship+assistantship PDF offer attached. Then, the next business day, my admissions contact called to say congrats and asked if I had any questions.

I interviewed on the 23rd, and applied a bit of pressure on them because I have to accept/decline Rotman by April 13th. They told me I would know by April 6th at the latest.

I was told today that the committee still needs more time to decide, so I asked them to take me off the waiting list. I think I have given ASU all the time I wished to give them and it's time to move on. I don't know what it is ASU is looking for, but if isn't obvious to them then maybe ASU is not such a good choice for me, either.
Good luck to all those waiting for a decision, and congratulations to those with an offer.

They told me that this was a possibility as well. I think as a smaller program which is trying to take the next step they are trying to be more thorough. As well they don't have a program specific admissions committee, so they might take a bit longer.

But I agree with your overall sentiment.

Not sure what "being thorough" means. It is not as if poring over my application for days will lead to a sudden revelation. As far as I am concerned, they want to find out if they have enough applicants they like to fill their class in round 4.
Now what ASU likes, I don't know. But if they thought I was a good fit, they would have made an offer right away. I have a very *unique* profile, so either they like it or they don't. I don't think mulling over it for days would have made them think differently.
On the other hand, if you have a more traditional profile, waiting might yield great results.

I was admitted as well, similar situation as you and I have to figure it out by the end of next week... It's a big life decision man. Quite a bit to mull over this weekend but the monetary incentive from asu is making the decision a little easier.
