This is not true. But you do need to convey your motivations for earning an MBA at this point of your career very clearly. Similarly, you most likely need to explain your post MBA goals much more clearly than the average applicant. I was admitted to Harvard and 5 other programs at age 33. One of my past clients got into MIT at 34 or 35. There was a 40+ year old student at HBS when I studied there. "Old people" do get into elite MBA programs every year. But please also try to reflect genuinely on your application and understand what prevented you from securing an interview invitation. You can pick SFO location as well but the hub cities slots usually get filled earlier. So make sure you get your registration done soon enough. Good luck.

Not necessarily. With older than the school average applicants, you need to work that much more in bringing to the fore your actual motivations and goals for pursuing an MBA compared to other candidates. As tohin mentioned above, dont let age deter you from your MBA goal. Just reflect a bit more on your reasons for pursuing a FT 2Y MBA instead of an EMBA or a Part time option? Only once you can convince yourself , you will be able to do the same with the adcoms.

for people doing the group interviews outside the US have you got instructions for the time and location of the drinks reception with alumni? They say there is one but i cant see any instructions about when or where?
