Same here. Denied even after giving score improvements and course transcripts. I guess they are done with the waitlist considering the high number of deferrals this year. Was expecting it.

Sorry to hear that , feel free to DM . I too feel that I had a shot but could be overestimating myself. I had a 3 point gre improvement , two LORs extra , one student recommendation and a great story after

Improved my GRE score from 321 (161 Q 160 V) to 328 overall (165 Q 163 V) - but still denied. And no feedback.

No idea as to what these people want.

That’s a huge improvement and 10 point above average , let’s just say this cycle has been too competitve and everyone wants an admit.

It’s sad and heartbreaking to see so many deserving people getting dings , even worse since there are so many dings this cycle is likely to perpetuate in next rounds as well .

It’s unfortunate indeed. Most of us are scratching heads as to if we are not good enough for schools or what. Demotivating indeed , NGL folks. But let’s move on to next year

It almost feels like school never opened our interst letter and/or updates

Hey y’all... First I want to say, congratulations for all the improvements in scores & application additions submitted. To me this is a journey follows that adage of - life is 90% how you react to it and 10% of the actions we take. Doing this work on the waitlist is apart of the 90% reaction, a learning process really, that is so important.

Remember, you are incredible. Sometimes things don’t happen for a reason and you are being afforded the opportunity for an adventure. Like I tell my employees after they interview but before they know the decision. Whether it is a let down or a win, take your time and reflect on your accomplishments and write down your dreams. I encourage you to flex your empowerment. Make this an accomplishment no matter the outcome.

these words would have come from college with the denials ... They should have some sort of empathy and sympathy and would have shown some leadership traits they expect from us...

First, I understand the frustration at a generic denial letter. Procedurally, my understanding is that that is a way to help reduce bias. I’m glad they do everything they can to not be biased. Second, I disagree with you about the show of empathy, sympathy, and overall leadership traits. I can only speak to my experience. However, I knew no one when I started my research on McCombs and now have begun friendships. As a woman in the business world, that’s not always easy to come by. I value the leadership of the entire Longhorn nation more than tangible currency itself. Please know that the empathy & sympathy I exude in this process, I consider a reflection of that shown by Longhorns to me on this journey.

Reach out to me if you need. I don’t work on unnecessary optimism but data based decisions and inferential statistics.
Let’s discuss this.

Those who need a perspective on what caused the denials, please feel free to message me :) I have clients going into top 10 US schools and those who got dings in R1 (from other consulting firms) reached out to me in R2 and are admitted to similar range schools. Those who believe that b-schools offer admissions on sympathy and your kindness, and are unwilling to change that opinion, I am sure other consultants are available to take 5000 USD and getting you rejected still.

Ohh... P.S. My services are currently free :) Feel free to ask anything in pM

Also, Indian IT engineer male candidates with a GMAT score above 730 who are applying in R1 this fall, services are free for you. (Let’s call it what B-schools call it, Diversity)
