Agreed. They never opened any updates for anyone & their attitude during the waitlist seminar said it all. What a **** attitude towards waitlist management in my opinion, they should learn from better schools.

Completely agree with you guys - I don’t think they looked at a single supplemental item that was submitted. I also feel they have a very ’exclusive’ attitude towards this whole process - at no point can you speak with 1-on-1 with a member of the Admissions team, unlike many other top schools where you can schedule appointments with Admissions. I feel their attitude is really arrogant. Anyhow, all the best to everyone.

This year, as many admitted students even observed, few schools were a little dismissive towards the issues that generally all applicants face. I urge everyone to not take the reject as an indication to your merit. The admission is not meritocracy based. I am sure that there are plenty of options for people. Ikr that Texas is a place to be but still

I am very sorry to all of my peers from India who have to deal w/ the uncertainty regarding travel restrictions and the implications for beginning your MBA experience next year.

It is now 2 days before the decision date and there have been no updates on my end for R3. The application status page still says "in review". I have to assume that I am going to be rejected because there is probably not enough time for someone to conduct an interview and then review it. Is it typical for schools to send blanket rejections on the decision date? You would think they’d reject you in advance if there are no plans to extend an interview invite. I’ve scoured the web for R3 interview invitations and only see record of 2. Obviously there is only a limited candidate pool adding these status updates but it still seems off. Does anyone have thoughts on this/a similar experience?

I would be still hopeful (not very much) but think that you are still in for a waitlist and will receive an interview invite later!

Interesting insight. Didn’t realize that you could be waitlisted prior to receiving an interview. One may hope.

Yes my heart goes out to those in India that are facing much uncertainty regarding programs for next year with the devastation occurring from Covid.

I’m in the same boat as you for R3, nothing to update- application still ‘in review’ as of today. yes I know we have a much smaller pool updating for R3 but surprised no one has an update for interview invite. Will remain hopeful until Thursday and maybe at least a waitlist response. Best of luck to you too.
