Hi R1 waitlisted applicant here, was waitlisted on 18 November. I am considering retaking GMAT. Can anyone suggest if its a good idea? would it have impact on the waitlist conversion? And by when (latest) I should plan to submit a score? Background: From India, GMAT 730, non-engineer (chartered accountant)

Hi all,

I have submitted my Stern MBA application two days back in R3 and status of my application is showing "Your application is complete and currently under review with the Admissions Committee.". However, After submitting the application I got the mail saying that "​Please allow 2-3 business days for processing of your application. You may then find updates to your application on your application status page, and you may check the status of your application at any time."

May, I know that till this week end. I would be getting an update about my interview decision or it means something else.

I found that these status would change back and forth regularly, so I wouldn’t read into it too much. I heard back about an interview within 2 weeks, but we’ve seen plenty of reports that it can take much longer, so I’d just sit back and wait to get an email about a portal update! Best of luck!

Any idea by when they release waitlist decisions for internationals (i.e. Whether admitted or denied from waitlist) ?

I've come across older posts saying that GMAT scores aren't required until acceptance. The admissions status page however appears to ask for the official score.

I completed my interview (for round 2) a couple weeks back and am just waiting on the final notification now. The status page shows that Stern is "awaiting" my official test scores. Anyone know if I should send them already or would it be alright to wait? Seems like a waste of $35 if I send them out now and I'm ultimately not accepted.

Hello guys,

I was wondering whether someone could clarify this for me , so Stern has 4 rounds and given that the two rounds are so close to each other, is round 3 actually their round 2? What I mean is if you are an international applicant is it worth applying for round 3 or are the majority of the seats already taken from round 1 and 2 .

(Generally I know that round 3 has lower acceptance rate and because it's close to spring it's not friendly for international applicants, but I was wondering regarding this "special" case of Stern)

Do you mean interview invites? If yes, I received mine through email.

If you mean admissions offer, all I got was an email telling me to check the application portal.
