Hi dudefromaround,
You ask an interesting question - and unfortunately the answer will depend a great deal on the individual Test Center (and Moderator who is administering your Exam). In the broader sense though, I have to ask if you really need to write down those notes? If you have them memorized already (to the point that you could create a quick 'cheat sheet' if needed), then why bother writing down all those notes on part of the first page of your booklet - which you would then feel compelled to repeatedly flip-back to during the Exam - and which would cost you time at multiple points during the Exam? Couldn't you write down those formulas as needed (re: based on what any individual question required of you)? In addition, are you creating a cheat sheet (or keeping a set of external notes in front of you) when you take your CATs/mocks? If you train to not need them during your practice, then you won't need them on Test Day.
