The essec interviews are pretty chill and its more of a conversation between the interviewers and the interviewee.Just be sure about your CV highlights and ready to defend your CV / essay points(long term short term goals , why essec, why france are the most common questions)

Good luck with your interviews
Dexter(MiM 2024 admit ESSEC)

As high as possible - 695 would be ideal!

Hello, can anyone tell me what is the safe score to apply for MiM
"GMAT is just a part of the application" as everyone says :
Case 1 : If you have a great profile (good work ex,internships , good gpa, LORs, diverse field etc) you can even apply with 605-615 as this can be compensated with the other aspects of the application
Case 2 : If your profile is not as good , the stellar GMAT will help you to get the points for compensation

for eg if there is 5 points for GMAT + 5 points for profile (just for illustartion)
Case 1 : 4 points profile + 3-3.5 points for GMAT =7-7.5 / 10
Case 2 : 3-3.5 points profile + 3-4 points (for great GMAT) = 7-7.5/10

even both have same total scores the strategy is different .Since its a management program application you’d know what strategy works best based on your profile.Good luck

Hope this helps a bit.

Hey,
No, ESSEC’s MiM program does not require full-time work experience. It’s designed specifically for recent graduates or those with limited experience (usually less than 2 years). In fact, many students apply right after their undergrad. What they do look for is a strong academic background, motivation, and clarity in your goals. Internships, extracurriculars, and leadership experiences help make your profile stronger but full-time experience isn’t mandatory at all.

That’s actually one of the reasons why so many students with a B.Com, BBA, or engineering background choose ESSEC's MiM as it’s a great launchpad into consulting, marketing, finance, and global roles, without needing to wait 3–4 years to apply for an MBA.If you’re considering ESSEC and need help with your profile or application strategy, feel free to reach out.

Hey,

For the ESSEC Master in Management (MiM) program, there is no strict GMAT score cutoff, but a score above 605 on the Focus Edition is generally competitive. Many successful candidates gain admission with scores in this range, particularly when supported by strong academic records, relevant internships, and a compelling application. For GRE applicants, a score of 325 or higher is typically considered competitive.

ESSEC evaluates your entire profile, including your academic background, professional experience, and personal goals. A well-crafted application that highlights your unique story can make you a strong candidate, even if your test score is slightly below the typical range.
If you need assistance assessing your profile for ESSEC, feel free to reach out.

Hey,

For ESSEC’s MiM program, a GMAT Focus score in the range of 645 to 685 is generally considered competitive, and anything above 685 is usually seen as safe. Of course, ESSEC looks at more than just the score — they also value strong academics, internships, international exposure, and clear career goals.

So even if your score is in the lower part of the range, a well-rounded profile can still make you a strong candidate. If you need help understanding how to position your story or build your application, we at AdmitScholar can support you through the process.
