GMATCoachBen : Did you also find any CR and SC that are part of both Gmatclub and the new question set?
Am waiting for someone to add those questions and thus save money by not purchasing the question set...

arora1 I just checked 5 SC and 5 CR questions from the product, and they were all posted on GMAT Club a while ago. I believe they are mostly quite old questions. 6 are tagged "GMAT Prep", 2 are "OG 1988", 1 is "Paper Tests", and 1 is "Verbal Review 2020".

I like the product for doing "fake" practice tests, because almost all of the questions don't appear in other recent sources (I believe I recognized only one, from Verbal Review 2020), but if you want to save money, I recommend using the tag search to find additional official questions -- there are several thousand: https://gmatclub.com/forum/search.php?view=search_tags

There will be a timer icon on the search results, for the questions you've previously attempted (screenshot below).

Interesting enough, GMAC has renamed their 404 Questions (original Question Pack 1 that was first named QP1, then 404 questions) but shockingly, now the description says 350+ questions ??? Is that due to the RC? I wonder what happened....


Also, the original GMAT Prep Collection (Exam Packs 1+2 and QP1) are now gone from the store. :roll: :shock:

GMAC will be releasing a brand new product on 21.05.2020 (3 days from now). It claims the new product has 350+ Quant and Verbal questions from past GMAT exams. All for just $29.99 - not a bad deal I'd say :D

I have a doubt here. I've exhausted the OG, verbal, quant review and most of the official material available on gmatclub i.e OG 13,14,15 etc. I need some more official material to practice. So are these questions available on gmat club or it would be worth it to buy them from mba.com?

How many of those 6 RCs have only 1 question and how many have 2 questions? I can live with 2 questions, but 2 seem like very bad experience.

What do you think about including the RC easy questions as well on the fake test? (I’m at V41 level ~~)

sweetlyimproved You're right, this is far from ideal, but timed sets of official questions are still great practice. Including only mediums and hards, 4 passages have 2 questions, and 2 have 1 question. Full details are in the screenshot below. Yes, it is reasonable to include the RC easy: the advantage is you are less likely to have too few questions per passage, but the downside is you are more likely to have too many questions per passage and/or too many total RC questions.

If you're around V41, I also recommend the GMAT Official Advanced Questions (https://amzn.to/3cZ4Ckf), which you can set up at efficientlearning.com. Unfortunately, this also has RC issues if you're trying to simulate a practice test; you can randomly shuffle CR and SC, but the RC passages are always put at the start of the problem set. For example, in a test I just did, a set of 40 problems had 15 RC problems at the very start, from only 2 passages. (There are 50 RC questions spread across 8 passages, for an average of 6.25 questions per passage. The range is between 4 - 8 questions per passage.) In 3 other tests, I got 6, 10, and 20 RC problems, so it can vary wildly. Potentially, you could set a separate countdown timer, and adjust it up or down if you get a wildly large or small number of RC questions. Alternatively, set it up in "Study" mode and hit the "Next" button repeatedly to check the question composition before starting the set; the downside of "Study" mode is that it can be distracting to immediately see whether your answer choice is correct or incorrect.

Hi,
I have attempted 12 questions in RC. It was 12 passages with each have 1 question. How is it possible.
