Its been more than 20 days since GMAC extended online GMAT till the end of this year, but still no announcement on retakes :( , also there is no information about when the centers would be open. This leave me in a limbo here :facepalm_man:

Sorry. It is a terrible state to be in and it’s pretty terrible that there is no retake option. I have totally expected retakes would be allowed by now.... I think I predicted that retakes would be open by August 1 but clearly I was wrong and we are in mid-August now

I was also hoping for some announcement, i was wrong as well. But i still have hope, it's the only thing in my control now.

This is also a vital lesson for those who are planning to appear for GMAT Online , it is important to keep in mind that there is only attempt available as of now, so use it wisely.

Yes, it is extremely disappointing when the COVID in India hasn't reached its peak and the public transport isn't running. For god sake I live in a small town and I have to take a 3 hr bus journey to take a test in danger of infection now. I dont know how is this fair?

I have been writing to GMAC continuously. There has not been any response yet. Now that it is already the 14th of August, I am even more worried. The deadlines are closing in real quick and I hardly have any time left. I really hope that this gets sorted out very soon. Just out of curiosity, has anybody else contacted GMAC regarding the same? how much of my body needs to be in the webcam shot? because of how my desktop is set up, my webcam is resting on top of my monitor, and it's kind of close to me. you can see my entire head in the shot + a little below my neck/shoulders. Is that sufficient?

Also, I've had a cough recently. This may be a silly question but I've heard the proctors can be very strict. Is normal stuff like clearing my throat or rubbing my nose ok?

You do not have to really worry on that... The webcam thing is sorted and it’s completely okay to cough or sneeze...

After waiting for so long for the decision on GMAT Online retake , I booked my test center date today. Really disappointed by the way GMAC moves with its policies.

I could have done the same but I was worried about one thing. If GMAT allows online retakes, let's say next week or so, this would be redundant. Plus, there are no slots for test center GMAT in my city for the next three weeks.

I guess best to wait.

We did not have a confirmation on whether GMAC would announce the option of retakes on or before the 14th of August. So sadly, we cannot really take a call on that

I waited but again if it gets allowed I will cancel my test center date with a full refund and book the exam right away. Same here there were no dates and a date appeared surprisingly yesterday and I booked it. GMAC is really slow and outdated with its policies.

It might be a redundant question, but can we use an external mouse(wireless) during the online exam or we are expected to use the track pad of our laptop?

You can use the wireless mouse. You will not have a problem with it..
