Any news on a possible retake? Been waiting for a month and a half now :/

Have you sent a request to GMAC?
I sent them, looking forward their reply. My resident country does not have a GMAT center at all, while all normal international flights to neighbor countries are suspended indefinitely until further notice. :eh:

I have messaged them on their instagram page, they said that they are considering it. Thats about it. I am not allowed to leave my house since its around a "red area" and under lockdown.

No update on that yet... I don’t think there’ll be any, for it has just been a speculation and no concrete evidence has even been built up!

The most I know is them stating that it is being considered with other policies.

Hi,

Could someone please confirm that GMAT online has only 3 RCs? (and not 4) Saw quite a few debriefs mention that they saw only 3.

Thanks
I got 4 passages in my exam. The 4th was from question 32 to 34 when i thought i was almost close to finish line

Woahh... That would have turned the hell out of you probably... But, if I may ask, what was the score and how difficult was the passage?

Hey folks...
I have my exam scheduled 2 weeks from now. I have been waiting for GMAC to announce the option of retakes, but I have pretty much lost hope on that. With the deadlines cutting short, I think that this is the best shot I got. So, if you could throw some light on something that I need to know before I go take an exam at the test centre, please feel free to enlighten me. Also, please be aware that I have taken the GMAT thrice at the test centres - before the pandemic hit - and that I would be very much glad if you were to help me out with the updates regarding the checking protocols and PPE kits that I need to take care of...

Regards

I had two students take the online test today (Aug 17). Both experienced over 1 hour delays during the final review before the test begins (one actually had the test start finally, one it never started). Has anyone ever had a similar experience? Was this possibly an issue just today? Just a fluke?
This happened with me yesterday, I had to wait for nearly an hour after completing the check-in for the test to start. All the while there was no indication of anything happening at the other end! I kept checking my network, fiddling with the whiteboard. It was stressful and have to say I was very happy when the test finally started.

You are required to wear a mask all time, I do not think PPE is allowed, official rules say only a jacket is allowed. Pearson's test centres are not accepting bookings for slots at full capacity as they are leaving every alternative workstation empty, so you do not need to worry much about safety.

Hey... Thanks a ton for the input... Yeah, I’ve observed that the test slots ain’t many.. So, what you just said is the most possible explanation!
Thank you for the help though!

I am asking this because, it is written on the gmac website that check in time is 30 mins during peak time. So, I am asking in general to avoid those times. Please suggest an ideal time slot on Sundays to write the exam. Thanks.

No slots on Sunday.
It's a holiday for them.

After writting the GMAT online, if I want to retake the exam at a test center, how many days will I have to wait? And what do they mean by "Score cancellations not permitted."? Does that mean we can't retake the exam anywhere to change score, after taking GMAT Online?

1. You don't have to wait to retake at a test center. You can take it anytime. If you want and are too ambitious, you can give both exams on the same day too.

The 16-day period applies to two test center examinations ONLY.

2. Currently, you can take the Online GMAT only once. Nonetheless, you can still take the test center GMAT 8 times in your lifetime (5 times in a year). You will have an option to improve your score through the test center exams.

Hit kudos, if that helped

We usually murmur or our lips move when we read a passage or any other question, although we don't utter anything and our volume is also negligible, but our lips still move.
Are we allowed to do so in case of the Online GMAT?

Proctors will usually disapprove of any appearances of talking. If your lips are moving, you may be asked to stop lip/mouth movements that may indicate communications.
