Hi,

Thanks for revisiting my previous post.

I should have been more specific. I am restarting my Quant prep. And I plan to do so by starting from the basics (because I hadn't covered them when I gave the mock CATs before)

I will take one mock CAT in the next 3 weeks, and thereafter continue taking more. Would you happen to know where I can take them for free? (or should I start a new thread for that discussion?)

Hi Kanav,

Since you've done some studying before, it still makes sense to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test. If you have not used them yet, you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That score result will help to define your current skills, strengths and weaknesses - so it will give us a really good sense of what needs to be improved.

1) Is your goal score still 750+?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Hi,

I have a question with respect to the 2 free tests on mba.com

1) Once I take those 2 tests, can I retake them again? Or is the rule "once you take it, it is done"
2) Is the test computer-location sensitive? As in, if the software is downloaded on one laptop, it cannot be accessed from another laptop?
3) What if I have to log out in the middle of the test? If that happens does the system count it as "one test down, one to go?"

Thanks,
-kanav

While most people would say focus on your weakest areas I would recommend becoming an expert in algebra. With algebra and some creative thinking outside the box you can solve most if not all quant problems. Im not recommending skipping other quant topics but that a heavy focus on algebra will allow you to apply it to a lot of topic areas. It worked extremely well for me... AS well as running through hundreds of problems ;)
