Hi Guys,
target score V34 to V36 .
My strategy to achieve this score is as follows: my target is to solve the first 25 questions in order so that difficulty level increases and i get more marks. Within this 25 questions, for RC my target is to solve only 2 RC passages but if 3 RC comes before 25th question then i will skip that and solve sufficient questions of other sections so that in total i end up solving 25 questions.
I am using this strategy as I am unable to solve all 36 questions in given time.
my query is - is this strategy viable for my target score or do you see any flaw in this strategy given the way GMAT Algo works ?
You would need to do actual experiments to find out if this strategy is realistic.
My sense is that this strategy will fail. If the test were a paper test, you could form strategies to divide up the questions as described (perhaps).
However, the GMAT is now adaptive. Questions of different difficulty levels and types are shown in some pre-determined fashion to which you are not privy.
I would suggest not to sabotage your performance with unknown methods. Focus on answering each question to the best of your ability. If possible, distribute your guesses across questions. Make intelligent guesses and keep moving.
The test is designed to take you to the limits of your ability. It is not realistic to believe that a testtaker can outsmart the algorithms.
