The sentence starts with a modifier which is modifying the diet not the people.
(A) Inuit people have a diet that provides.....................Modifier issue
(B) Inuit people in their diet provide.......................Modifier Issue
(C) diet of the Inuit people provides...................Correct
(D) diets of the Inuit people have provided..................Diet should be used instead of diets. Since it's a fact, simple present tense is needed
(E) diet of the Inuit people, providing...............By introducing verb-ing modifier, principal clause has been eliminated.
IMO C should be the answer.
(A) Inuit people have a diet that provides.....................Modifier issue
(B) Inuit people in their diet provide.......................Modifier Issue
(C) diet of the Inuit people provides...................Correct
