Round 2 applicant with interview GMAT waiver. Do they call everyone they admit?

They will try to call most of the admits but I do see cases where an applicant gets to know about the admission only through an email or a portal update.

It was odd, but I don't think it says anything about our candidacy, probably just due to volume. I am wondering if candidates are more likely to be called if they were interviewed by adcom, but can't really tell.

Correct. There were at least 5 applicants from Round 1 who got the admission information through an email or the portal without any calls.
