If it takes Patrick 4 hours to paint a room, how long did it take Patrick and Roger working together?

FOr both working together we must know thier individual rate of working
(1) clearly insuff
(2) patrick rate = 1/4 room/hr
roger rate = 1/3 room / hr.
Combined 1/4 + 1/3 = 7/12
thus time taken =12/7 hrs
