Still waiting for an interview call. I hope I don't come across as snarky, cos there're tonnes of people on the forum who've got admitted to so many more elite schools than I have, but with one admit in the bag, it takes a lot of pressure off.

All that being said, INSEAD remains one of my dream schools, and I'm still really excited about visiting fonty tomorrow! If there's anyone reading this who would like to join me for a Friday night out in Paris, just shout! INSEAD's got a rep for partying, doesn't it? :D

I noticed you mentioned you were a re-applicant. But from their website i understand INSEAD isn't very particular about re-applicants. Can you clarify?

From what I gathered, there were two people from my background/country and one had pretty much the same exact profile as me, down to the places we worked. I let the AO know ahead of time that I could only hold on to the waitlist until 1 April and she told me a few months later (read: 2 weeks ago) that it was extremely unlikely a spot would open up by then. I mentioned the same point you mentioned about INSEAD being very picky about reapplicants and asked the AO if she could solicit feedback, to which she said the adcom would encourage a reapplication. It was a very easy process. In order to prevent the applicant from doing the whole thing over again, it was just an additional essay, CV, and any updates (academic/professional/international experience). Also didn't have to pay the fee again, ha!

Male, 28, Italian
Mechanical Engineer.
Marketing Manager Middle East and Africa . Dubai based.

I think they are not calling by profile but by region as mentioned above.
Some regions are for sure more busy than others.
Also consider that they have to prioritize the applications of R4 for Sept15.
