I'm 33 and finishing off MBA. Looking at Linkedin profile I see people of my age have already hit the Director/SVP post so I will be starting at the lowest of the ladder or does buy side offer better life-work balance at this stage ?
I have never come across anyone reaching director or svp within 33 with few exceptions and those exceptions are placed at that position because of their previous educational qualifications and recommendations internally.
Only if you really really really want to do it. The job sucks and is more viewed as a stepping stone to better opportunities.
