Hi,

Probably out of place but this question needs to be asked!

What is the earliest I shall give my GMAT exam in this month so in case if I dont get my desired score i will still be eligible to give GMAT again before the ISB R2 deadline?

Hi, Does anyone have an any idea if there might be an extension to the ISB, round 2, deadline to submit the GMAT score like they did for round 1. Any discussion anywhere around it?

Unlikely but they may. After all, R2 deadlines have also been preponed by a month the way R1 were.

As suggested by fellow members, it is best to email them and ask.

All the best!

Pitching in late.

My 2 cents
the news that the deadlines will be advanced by a month was given I think in July.
Jul-Aug-Sep: Its just 3 months(or 4 if the announcement was made in June)
This could mess up the plan for some people who planned to write gmat.

Dec deadline was still far-away. I dont see any reason for them to postpone the deadline.
and also during one of the webinars it was clearly mentioned that the Deadline will not be pushed.

Hi,

I would advise you to write to ISB admission committee directly explaining your current situation. Request them if they can help you in getting you an extension to submit your GMAT score.

If you have taken your GMAT already but delayed in getting official score card, you can share your un-official score card and also have a option of sharing your obtained score to a few B-Schools. Now it totally depends on ISB if they can provide you an extension or not.

Fingers crossed!

Here's your chance to interact with ISB Admissions and alumni. We are pleased to inform you that we are hosting a webinar on How to prepare a strong ISB application with ISB Admissions. Other top ISB alumni would also be answering your application and profile related queries.

Hi coldcoffee

- So far, there has been no such announcement. One user on this forum even called ISB and was told that it was not happening.
- The reasoning of GmatDaddy on why it may not happen at all this time is sound as well. Would add on a bit to that by also pointing out that in R1, ISB had the luxury of time in extending the date, as results for R1 candidates who submitted scores late are expected only in late December. With R2, it may not have that luxury as delay in announcement of results for R2 candidates, in case such an option is given again, would make it very tight for those applicants to be able to join ISB, given that the program starts in the second week of April.
- That said, the last time (R1), the announcement was made some 12 odd days before the deadline, so in case they decide to do it, we should hear something on it over the next 2-3 days. If it does not happen by then, it is unlikely to happen. Lets wait and see. In case you are planning to take your GRE or GMAT over the next 12 days, keep your original schedule and preparation on track, assuming the extension will not happen. If it does, consider it a bonus.

curiousreed you will have to mention the score on your application, you will not be able to submit the application with out your score.
So, you need to completed application(along with the score) by the application deadline for R2 ie Dec 15 1800 hrs.

Yes, you can take it even on the 15th and still submit your app, though, by reporting your unofficial score.

Just a word of caution.

I have seen 3 such cases in R1 where in the GMAT was scheduled on Sep15 morning slot(Sep 15 was the deadline), but due to some reasons their Exams were cancelled and they were asked to postpone their exam to some later date.

Therefore, I would suggest you not to take risk and schedule your GMAT at least 1-2 earlier.

Let alone an extension, they have introduced a new cycle. I am wondering whether it will get too risky to apply in Round 3.

Any experts?

Thank you.

Asking the same question at a number of threads does not increase your chances of getting the answer, in fact people consider it as spam and choose not to answer.
