No, if you read past posts you will see many instances where adcom may extend an interview invite up until the notification date.

I interviewed on campus (which I would recommend). It seems that most people get interviewed by adcom, but for some reason (I hope it's not a bad signed), I was interviewed by a second year student. The interview itself went really well - my interviewer was nice and very talkative. I felt like I had a good opportunity to learn about what she liked/didn't like about Johnson while she learned about me. It certainly felt more "conversational" than my other interviews at Tuck and Fuqua; although, I would still describe those interviews as "conversational" compared to a typical job interview. Word of advice for those of you heading to Ithaca soon: if you're like me and from the west coast or a similar climate, bring warm clothes. It was around 28 degrees Fahrenheit when I was there ("unseasonably cold" for November, according to some people I talked to)

It's not a bad sign you got a 2nd year...typically the 2nd years sit in on interviews with the adcom to get trained, so as the admissions season goes on, there are more 2nd years prepared to interview applicatns. Since Tuck knows people will be coming to campus in September to interview, my bet is that they train the 2nd years in August in preparation for that.

thank you tochenzo, for your response!! i knew that johnson might send out invites till the last minute. however,my situation is that i am international, and some people from my country who submitted their apps a fews days later than me had already recieved their invites two more weeks ago! i just wonder if johnson always interviews more competitive applicants at first, and then interviews less competitve ones later?? i know maybe there is still hope, but guess i am not good enough for johnson. https://gmatclub.com/static/posted_from.png Posted from GMAT ToolKit

hi, everyone, my question still remains: why someone who submitted their apps a few days later than other applicants might sometimes(assuming that they are based in the same region) recieve interview invite eariler??
