Hello Every One I am Siddharth.Congratulations to all who have got admits and goy scholarships as well. I am from India and am thinking of applying to the school in Round 2 but if I don't receive scholarships it will of no use since it would not be possible to self finance.Hence I would like to know that for those receiving scholarships is it covering a substantial part of the tution fees. The school site mentions that it ranges from 2000-10,000 $ ,which is quite low compared to other schools I think and doesn't cover much of the tuition fees.
Does anyone know McCombs' policy for deferring acceptance by one year? I came across the below in a blog post, but it's from 2007 so wanted to see if this was still the case...
"UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business stands out with their “no questions asked one year deferral policy”. The applicant must email a letter stating the intent and then pay the deposit. When the application is posted the following year the applicant fills it out and pays the application fee to be automatically be admitted."
Submitted my application for Round 2 today. Applying to the Advertising/MBA dual-degree program. For Rd 1 applicants, how soon did you know about interview invites? Or were they dispersed throughout the round?
Military veteran applicants and soon-to-be students, did you know that McCombs has an Armed Forces Alumni Association with anywhere from 25-35 members each school year? If you have any questions about transitioning, applying or anything else, "Like" the FB page so that you can follow along and ask any questions:
I got my letter of acceptance in the mail today..along with a notebook (UT Texas Mccombs)..Nothing on any scholorship or even an information packet that most others send out..
Are any other Round 2 applicants unable to get into the application website?

Hello, As a member of the Admissions committee, I would suggest clearing your cache and/or opening the application in a new browser. If after you do both you are still having issues, please email a screenshot of the problem to [email protected].
Anyone have any idea when the actual program starts? I couldn't seem to find it online and didn't receive my admission packet yet. Also, when's the earliest an international student can travel with the I-20? It's been about 9 years since I last had to worry about my I-20, so I don't really remember. Have all the international students submitted the certificate of financial record yet?

Orientation begins in early August, with optional bootcamp taking place the last week of July. It is recommended you arrive to Austin no later than early-mid July to give yourself time to settle in before the program starts. Hope this is helfpul!
Kana - I have been checking that application status page (as well as the UT GIAC page). From what I've read on here, it seems that when a decision is rendered a link will appear under the Welcome, Your Name header on the McCombs app status page. On my page all I see is Welcome, My Name with blank space under it. And I have checked all of my email folders. This is very frustrating, I was looking forward to getting some closure yesterday but now it seems that this stress will continue through the holidays until the admissions office reopens.
I am still hoping to get an admit from UT!

Apologies on the tardiness of this response and for this issue in general, but you should have received an answer. If you still have not, please email [email protected] and let them know.
Pardon my ignorance. I can't seem to find the exact submission deadline time. Is it 5PM? 12PM? CT?
Thanks, Prodizy

Hello,
The exact time should be in the actual application, which I cannot view, but I believe it is 11:59pm. However, my suggestion would be to play it safe and submit by 5pm Either way, it is definitely Central Time.

I just submitted the app for R2. I did not receive any email. What I could see is - Application submitted on Jan 20th, with a few components shown to be submitted and few others(Submission to GIAC, application fee) awaiting. Is the application really submitted?

Yes, your application is submitted but you will be asked to make payment in another day or twos time and then you will be asked to upload your transcripts at GIAC in another few days.
Quick question on the application. Is there a way to see the preview of the entire application before submitting? When I hit the submit, is it going to submit right away or going to show the preview of my application?
