Just a word of caution... Graduating from a STEM program will only make you eligible for a STEM opt extension, which is 2 more years on the regular 1 year opt. However, you must be working in a "Technology" related company to get that extension.

Meaning if you choose to go with consulting and you are not working in a stem job position (nature of the project may not under your control) then USCIS will reject your request for extension.

An international candidate from India.
I received admits from Notre Dame Mendoza MBA/MSBA(95% tuition waiver) and ASU W.P. Carey(Full tuition + $15000 Teaching Assistant)

Mendoza is STEM while W.P. Carey is not. Post-MBA goal is to get into consulting or product management in tech.

Hi singhindia

I totally support the caution above. I have posted recently some links for that issue But i want honestly to know something.

Why did your apply to the MSBA? What is your target?

Thanks Mo2men,
My primary focus has been the MBA, but since Notre Dame was providing the dual degree with Stem Certification within the same time frame and almost same cost, I opted for it. Plus I believe, I could leverage more my strong quantitative aptitude through this program.
My target is to get into tech consulting or a product manager role in tech.

Also, could anyone please share more specific details about these colleges w.r.t. to academic strengths, alumni connections, career services, brand value and placements in tech related industry.

I have made my deposit to both the schools. But this school selection dilemma still exists. Friends, counting on your suggestions ??
