Nine person went to a hotel to take their meals. Eight of them spent 12 each on their meals and the ninth spent 8 more than the average expenditure of all the nine. What was the total money spent by them ?

If ninth spent x amountA)110
B)112
C)114
D)116
E)122.
Hence,
((12*8) + x)/9 + 8 = x
Solving for x = 21
Total amount spent by 9 people = (12*8) + 21 = 117
KSBGC Pl check option D must be 117 not 116.
