If ninth spent x amount
Hence,
((12*8) + x)/9 + 8 = x
Solving for x = 21

Total amount spent by 9 people = (12*8) + 21 = 117

KSBGC Pl check option D must be 117 not 116.

Agreed. Answer option D has typo.
