After preparing for 4 months(i know its a long time and usually doesn't require this much time ) after taking a break from work I finally had the courage to go and give GMAT.
Gave my 200%. Read online materials studied like crazy, gave several mock tests.
Surprisingly in the last 5 mock test I scored above 710 in all, including GMAT prep software and Manhattan tests.
During the test day was a little nervous but i thought i would score atleast 700.
But BAMMMM. 630 appeared on the screen and all the effort in vain. Was devastated, didn't know what went wrong or how to correct my mistakes.
Was cnfident of getting a 700 but couldnt even cross 650 mark.
There are in fact many members said that they constantly scored 700+ on many CATs, including GMATPrep, but they shocked when seeing the real score on the screen. I think that the time flies and candidates study harder. As the result, the overall GMAT scores have significantly increased. To avoid score inflation, I think that GMAC has decided to increased the difficulty of every question.
Also, there could be another elements effected your performance on the test day. For example, you could easily get tired due to long time taking the test.
After all, it is not a bad idea to retake the test
Just set another test date, and try to focus again on practicing.
