Just submitted the videos... Wasn't too happy with my responses to #2 and #3 but it is what it is now...

How do they do this? Do they do rolling invites and then all dings on the final day? Or could we be dinged this week as well?

From what I have read nobody gets dings until the decision release date and they can have interviews all the way up until the decision date....but I also have noticed that A LOT of people get the invite in the first or second wave..so chances that you are going to get an interview obviously decrease with the amount of time that passes BUT we will still have to keep hope all the way until the decision deadline since it is not impossible to have to wait that long too.

Okay, thanks. And ding date is? So, if you receive a non-marketing email from them in the next two weeks, chances are that it's an invite....

Mine is alright... how do you guys think they interpret your geographic location in terms of the applicant pools. For example, if you're an Asian working in London, which pool do you fall into?

Haha, i felt like I messed up on the first question since I was way too nervous, but pulled myself together and did really well on the second and third. Let's see what happens. Good luck on hearing back everyone!

I do not think these video answers have a lot of weight in the overall process. My guess is that they just want to see your presence, and communication skills. Doesn't make sense to make a decision on an application based on 3 mini videos when there is a 30-min interview. Good luck!

I agree with you. I don't think there's much weightage on the videos as well. I think it's more of a 'is this dude presentable enough' test.

Just finished them. It went OK. I was asked Why MBA and Why now. Tell us a time when someone in a group disagreed with you and how that made you feel. And I forgot the last one. Oops.

But I am glad this application is over. I was pretty psyched about Yale and I think I have more chances than last year. However, when the interview waves start next week, I will go to hibernation mode again.

Well done...I think they asked the Why MBA and Why now of everyone. Just as a note to any round 2 applicants

I was not asked "Why MBA?" nor "Why Now?". I did interview last cycle, and these questions were asked of me then, but I don't think that reapplicants get different video questions -- or do they?

FWIW: I absolutely bombed the video questions last go-round and was still ultimately interviewed and waitlisted until the last possible day. Of course, I was ultimately rejected, so do with that information what you may... haha. But I really think it is not a major factor when compared with all the other components of your application.

I am afraid that as a reapplicant who interviewed in May (R3), I won't hear anything from the admissions office until December. I am hoping that I still might get an interview so that I can further make my case (and squeeze in a visit with my New England family members).

Good luck, everyone. It is out of our hands (which, depending on who you are, is either a comfort or completely freaks you out -- I'm of this latter group but hope that you all are of the former).

Ditto, souvik101990! And, FuturePM91, I think I did have them last year. Best of luck. :-)
