Hi I have the same question - considering last year R1 closed on 30 October and applications had launched by now, it's pretty odd to see that till now they haven't launched the application

the date of enrolment at aug 2026 gives the MBA option and it was opened up 01 Aug 2025 (not 2026)

Hi, here's my take on your profile.

NUS Class of 2026 has an average GMAT (traditional scale) of 670, or 615 on GMAT Focus, so your 695 mock is comfortably above average and a real strength. That said, Indian applicants at NUS are a heavily represented pool, and admissions consultants tracking Indian outcomes note that 700+ is where Indian profiles become genuinely differentiated rather than just "good on paper." So this score already works in your favour, and if you can nudge it to 700+ in the actual attempt, it removes any doubt entirely.

Your real differentiator is the entrepreneurship story. Nine years spanning test prep faculty work, mentoring 2,000+ students, and now running your own education venture with ₹1.1 Cr+ documented revenue and ₹50L profit on a lean team, is exactly the kind of ownership and P&L exposure NUS admissions responds to. It also gives you a clean, credible narrative for consulting and growth roles in education, EdTech, or consumer, since you're not pivoting cold, you're formalising skills you've already demonstrated as a founder.

The one thing to address head on is why consulting now, after already building a profitable business. Frame the MBA and consulting stint as the structured route to learn how larger organisations scale, before returning to build a bigger, more scalable education company. That makes the pivot look intentional, not like a step back.

On scholarships, NUS automatically considers all applicants for merit based awards covering 20%+ of tuition, no separate application needed, but Round 1 or Round 2 is essential since Round 3 has weak scholarship odds. Given your GMAT, founder story, and teaching impact at scale, you have a strong scholarship case, provided the essays and interview sell the entrepreneurial narrative sharply.

Overall, NUS is a realistic and well matched target for you, with genuine scholarship potential if positioned right.

Hi Sadtrains,

You have a competitive profile with strong academics, steady career progression at ZS Associates, leadership responsibilities, and meaningful extracurricular involvement. Your experience working with global pharmaceutical clients and leading teams will be viewed positively by NUS. While a GMAT Focus score of 625 is already above NUS's average, improving it by 20–30 points would further strengthen your candidature and also improve your scholarship prospects. Along with NUS, I would recommend considering NTU and INSEAD Singapore. Overall, your extracurricular profile is solid and complements your professional experience well.

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

Hi everyone
It is mentioned in nus website that master in quant finance does not require gmat for admission purposes.
If that’s the case what exactly is the admission procedure.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You have really good profile. Any score above 645 would be a good start point to be hopeful from NUS and similar schools.
