Hi,
Please provide your feedback on my profile for a top 10 MBA.
30 male, Pakistani, GMAT 710,
Work experience: 7 years in Corporate Banking, currently with a leading bank in Dubai financing infrastructure projects. Already underwritten debt for projects of more than USD 6 billion. Multiple awards, courses and recognitions, solid recommendation from immediate supervisor.
Previous experience in a leading international bank winning various awards, solid recommendation from immediate supervisor.
20 times salary increment in 7 years, horizontal growth in portfolio size etc. minimal vertical growth.
Want to transition into Real Estate Investment banking or Real Estate Investment Trust after financing contractors for multiple years.
GPA is low, 2.7, at the best university in Pakistan. Reason is I was working 10 hour night shifts throughout my undergrad to fund my education.
Solid community activities.
Got a decline from Columbia Early Decision after submitting, what I thought, was a solid application.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear the CBS news! CBS can be quite competitive for sure; if your GPA is truly comparative to a US 2.7 then that is a large weakness that is hard to overcome, and your GMAT is not stellar compared with CBS applicants across the board, even though it is ok. I don't know as much about leadership experiences or community involvement, or your goals, or of course what you wrote in your essays
but I'd suggest schools more in roughly 10-25-ish range of the US News rankings, for better chances.... for a full resume review and deeper discussion, we do offer a free 30 min consultation option at www.mbamision.com/consult if interested!
