Hi Mh95,

A few questions for you:
1. what is your total work experience? Give breakups and top achievements
2. what do you do outside work? Any extracurricular activities?
3. How much international experience do you have?
4. what are your career goals?
5. Where did you go for undergrad and what were your marks?
6. When are you planning to apply?

Please tell me with what score should I target to get hec, essec, LBS, or escp for MIM or MIF?
I have 7.68/10 cgpa equivalent to 76.8% or 4 GPA.......passed in 2018........ NO Work experience except an internship from a factory, which is now closed due to some new governmental rules. I was the team leader of my 4th year project.

I had been a member of Rotaract Club sponsored by Rotary International for social works (High-school Time)

Won a talent test and got a gold medal in one olympiad talent exam and also earned certificates in many exams at my schooling
Then at my graduation, I had been the head or coordinator or organiser of 4 events

I participated and got 3 certificates in some entrepreneurship-oriented competition at my college
Then I got a certificate in TALL BUILDING STRUCTURES from one of the prestigious institutions of India, INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Then I was the campus ambassador of one of the top management college of India, Indian Institute Of Management, Banglore.

Then I did some online certificate programs from some great universities -- ESSEC (Marketing Analytics), HEC (Leadership- Souvoir Relier), THE WHARTON (Introduction to marketing), University of California (Time management)

please guide me, I am losing much-required confidence due to this one year gap.
Your guidance will be very helpful to usher me toward my goal

Yeah the last thing I am learning french, and now I am at least able to make a few sentences, I can't vouch about fluency unless I live in a French environment...But I am sure I would help, would it?

Hi there,

I am a 23-year-old undergrad in BS (Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology) with a 3.4 GPA and 14 months of work experience with a US-Based healthcare firm. My main job role was to develop client relationships and provide support to physicians working for leading healthcare companies in the US. In addition, I have been traveling all my life and have interned in various companies for the role of a business development executive. I quit my job to pursue digital marketing and business development fulltime and am currently doing the same. I worked in Egypt for an education firm as a business development executive for a period of 6 weeks. Upon returning, I also aim to complete the A2 level of French soon.
In addition, I have about 4 years of experience in content marketing and development. I currently work for various clients in both the digital marketing and content creation space.

I am aiming to get a score of 650+ on the GMAT.

Thank you for evaluating my profile!

Hello,
Sorry, but I am bit confused with the timeline of your part time work, studies, and full time work. I am not sure whether you are interested in MiM or MBA? If you want to pursue MBA, then you have less exp. as compared to the average exp. of HEC MBA class. Your hobby is travelling and you have been to many places such as ..... and what you experienced ... ? Where are you currently working? It's good to have a certification of a foreign language and French will be an advantage while applying to HEC. Can you please explain the timeline of 4 years as content marketing and development? What are your MBA goals? Overall, there are many things to be explained and improved. I suggest you to gain more experience, try to score above 700 as you have ample amount of time.

Hi,
It's recommended to target avg. or above avg. score of the current class. For the schools and program, kindly refer to their individual information websites. The academic and participation details you provided are good enough to showcase your ability but without a job for an year will create problems for you unless you provide an acceptable and logical reason. You have not mentioned the 'Goal' and why do you want to pursue MiM or MiF?

The most important point in your current scenario is to take up a JOB. The language not necessarily French will definitely helps like an add on.
Again, I strongly recommend you to take up a job and gain some professional experience.

Hi! I apologize for not being clear enough about my life story. I am aiming for an MIM in HEC Paris. I have graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. After graduation, I have worked for 14 months as a medical specialist in an MNC based in San Franciso. After 14 months of work experience, I quit my job in October 2018 to learn digital marketing skills and to work as a freelancer in order to hone my skill set. That brings us to 2018-2019 wherein I have travelled to Nepal and Egypt, and have worked in Egypt as a business development executive in addition to all the freelance work I have done over the gap year. I am currently studying French and hope to clear the A2 level soon. In response to what I learnt in Egypt: I have worked with an international team, worked with clients in the US as the Egyptian firm was an education consultancy firm, working in an international atmosphere and gained life experience.

In regard to the 4-year experience as a content writer: This is a part-time job I have been doing through my college years and continue to do so even today.

As for travelling, I have been to the UK, US, Singapore, Australia, and as stated above, Egypt and Nepal. I have volunteered in many of these places and most recently participated in the London Pride.

Hope this clarifies the context!

Hi,
The things are clear to me now and looks good. I am not aware of MiM programs and I suggest you to go through the information sites about the average GMAT/GRE scores. 650 will be on the lower side though. Aim around 700 or above if possible. It's good to learn French to stay in France and job prospects. The purpose of MiM must lead to your goal. I hope you have researched on MiM vs. MBA program and what suits you best. In couple of years, you can also apply to MBA program and for that, you have enough time to make your profile stronger.

Just for addition information: HEC MBA also have the specialization in Digital. May be interests to you.
All the best :)

Hi,
You have strong academics and below average GMAT score for HEC. Your overall profile seems interesting. Can you share more info about job description and patents? I would like to know about your MBA goals and what you are interested in?

Applying in 660 will be bit risky. There is no harm in trying once again. Your age is 26 yrs and I believe you have time. You will apply probably for Jan 2021 intake for which the applications will start Jan 2020. If there is no improvement, apply with 660 and make other profile aspects strong. All the best.

Also can I get an admit if I apply before round 9 (15 Oct) for 2020 Jan intake

Hi Mahendra,

A few things here:

1. Round 9 for an Indian is just too late. you should apply in the first 3 rounds only.
2. While I see you transitioned from a software engineering role to a business role at a bank, it would be very important to know your quality of achievements. getting into details of your experience is what will differentiate you from the Indian applicant pool, which is most competitive.
3. Point no. 4 in your extra-curriculars is most relevant. Have you been working solely in your endeavors or have you influenced other people and also led them to join you? Leadership is about getting other people to join your cause and adcoms always value that.
4. For the GMAT, aim for a 700+
