Before starting my GMAT prep, I gave a cold official mock and received 660 (Q48/V32). From mid of March 2022 I started my prep.
My prep was on off due to the nature of job (Lots of unpredictable travel). After preparing for approx 3 months, in June I gave Mock 1 again and scored 660 (Q49V30). Main reason for low verbal score was my timing in verbal. I couldn't complete last 7-8 questions in verbal.
I continued my Prep and gave all 6 mocks. Scores of Official Mocks are as follows:
Mock 2 730 Q50 V38
Mock 3 730 Q51 V38
Mock 4 720 Q50 V35
Mock 5 700 Q50 V34
Mock 6 770 Q50 V45
After each mock, I used to analyse my weakness and work on it. My biggest weakness was always SC.
My target score is >740
I gave my actual GMAT yesterday and scored 620 (Q49 V27). I canceled the score.
I missed last two questions in Quant (Due to my carelessness in timing. Never had issue with timing in quant)
But the biggest shock was verbal. I rushed thru last few questions in verbal but apart from SC i was confident in Verbal.
I have applied for ESR, but i think we have to wait for 72 hours after the exam to enable the ESR. Once I receive ESR, I will share it in the post.
Although I cannot target 1st round of my target school now, I am planning to target the second round now and will give GMAT in Sep.
So I have approx 1 month (considering nature of job, i will get only 15 days) for reattempt prep and will focus on SC.
I plan to solve all the official easy questions from GMAT club, then move on to medium and hard and improve to accuracy and timing in SC.
I also plan to do CR and RC and some quant in between but more focus will be more on SC.
I plan to take Manhattan Mock as I have already exhausted official mocks.
Please review my strategy and guide.
