Hi phoenix2194,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as planned. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. Before we discuss any of those potential issues though - as well as the data in your ESR - it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How many hours did you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? Have you taken any other “brands” of CATs/mocks besides the Official GMAC CATs?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Consider thinking over what you may have done differently on the Official Mocks and the actual exam. Were you more or less reluctant to skip a question, for example? Was there a difference in how much you double checked your answers.

May also be worth working on your solving approach, making the way you tackle questions more efficient. This sort of learning doesn't have to take very long. Perhaps work with a study buddy with strong Verbal skills. Had a 6-hour student for example go from a V41 to a V45 in about 10 days.

phoenix2194 - The key question you need to answer is - Did I underperform or was the real GMAT a wake-up call?

Watch this video to know one way to answer the question above. I have also analyzed your ESR in the video.
