Our goal for interviewed applicants is to render a final decision within two weeks of the interview report being completed. It is our goal that all reviews are within these timelines. I suggest that candidates reach out to us if their application is outside of the six week timeline, but before doing so they should check their application status page for their complete date . Regarding the interview, it is two weeks from when the interviewer has submitted the interview feedback, not the date of the interview, so applicants should keep that in mind as well. I just got dinged (applied January 5th, Regular Decision) from Columbia without interview. It's surprising to me because I've been invited to interview to HBS and Booth (international applicant, 760 GMAT, private equity). What are your thoughts? Got lucky at HBS/Booth or got unlucky at Columbia? Is it linked to the rolling admission system at all (bad odds when applying so late)?

I think it has more to do with applying late. I am in the same boat (Corporate FP&A Director/CFA/3.6GPA) and was very surprised with the ding, especially from Columbia. I applied around the same time as you did (Jan 3). I am moving on and so should you. How did HBS work out? I am also applying to it.

With CBS, its got to do with the rolling admission process. The later you apply, the less chances you have to differentiate yourself from those already admitted. You were not just "lucky" to get interviews at HBS and Booth. Your applications and your MBA story must have been great to get you interview invites at these schools. With top schools, it all comes down to a case of diversity when selecting 1 out of many similar profile demographics. Good luck with your interviews at HBS and Booth.
