Anything less than 3 years is difficult. In fact, some schools need a 3 years work experience at matriculation.
It is not possible to demonstrate increase in responsibility, team management and ;leadership in a short span of professional experience

It's November 1 only. Definitely still time.
The India in-person date may have passed but they have invited people after for virtual interviews.

I'll also say that there are definitely students at SOM with 1, 2, 3 years of work experience. You'll see some schools trending down in years of WE while others trending up. It really varies but it's more about the quality of your experience, not necessarily the number of years imo

This is reassuring Aerien. Though, at least to me, I have quality Work Experience I am worried about being a younger applicant. I am super nervous/excited for the interview on Friday.

Keep on keeping on though. This is not the end of your journey. There are so many other schools out there AND it's only Round 1 so lots of time left to convert to admit (even though it doesn't feel like it at this moment).

Thanks and yes, a rejection was coming. I'm glad I heard about it now. Hopefully, I can convert one in R1, else I'll try other schools in R2.

realistically, if you are invited in November, you have one or two weeks to schedule + attend the interview (including getting the time off work)

taking out Thanksgiving week, there is 11/14 and 11/28 weeks, with decision day on 12/6

Hi guys,

Had my off-campus interview with Yale today. It was an adcom member and the questions were as follows:

1. Describe your role at Philips
2. Elaborate on your career goals
3. What will you bring to Yale
4. Success and Failure at work
5. They had asked for a quote to be submitted prior to the interview. She asked me to explain what it means to me
6. Anything else the adcom should know about me

Then she asked me put forward the questions that I have in mind. I asked her about the evaluation system as Yale does not compute GPAs. She explained the system and said that I should not worry too much about it as I will land up in the top ranks for any class I join. I feel that is a great positive input. Anyways I now have to wait till december for the result.

Just out of curiosity, where did your interview take place? I was under the impression that all off-campus interviews based in India had already been completed.
