HI Guys

This is Aswad from India. Completed my Undergraduation in Btech - Biotechnology with a GPA of 3.5( India - Non IIT ) . Hold a Masters Degree in Food Processing from University of Reading in United Kingdom. GMAT - 660

Work Experience -
Worked for Kraft foods, McDonalds & Mccambridge Foods in UK ( Quality Assurance Technologist Role ) from 2008 - 2011.
Worked in the biggest dairy company in Saudi Arabia - Almarai (Senior Quality Assurance Technologist) in 2012.
Worked for Starbucks in Dubai as a Quality Asurance Manager managing three regions in the GCC namely UAE , Bahrain & KSA from 2013- 2015 and a Regional Quality Assurance Manager for General Mills in Dubai handling 8 regions in the middle east namely UAE , Qatar , KSA , Kuwait , Lebanon , Jordan , Turkey etc.

Wish to Pursue an MBA to leverage on my technical Skills about food processing and invest the knowledge gained in Food Marketing Roles. So basically i want to shift from a food technical field to Marketing in a food business. I really believe the way forward for effective marketing is techno commercial marketing since people are very cautious not only about safe food but also healthy food. Technical marketing is the way to go for a food business to sustain in the coming years!

Applying for Round 2 in Rotman - Guys can anyone review my profile and advice do i stand a chance in Rotman?

Work Ex: Analytics division of a major player in business consulting (~4 years)
Under Grad: B.Tech from a non-IIT (8.4/10 GPA)
Lots of extra curriculars in different sports and music

Application Details
Submitted Application: 15th Oct
Interview Invite: 20th Oct
Interview: 27th Oct
Decision: 1st Nov

My take on the application process
- Your original transcript is not necessary unless you actually get an admit; the scanned copy will suffice
- Be very very sure about what your post MBA goals are and ensure that your points come across clearly in your essay
- Have a clear understanding of how Rotman will help you achieve your goals and also how you can add to the class
- The way you speak and write is as important as the actual content you write or speak about (after all, communication will be important post the MBA)

Others who have been admitted to the program, would be great if we could connect!

I really dont think it is about the GMAT score all that much if you have a 700+
Rotman gives a lot of weight to the overall profile. Im from a generic applicant pool and dont really have an outstanding GMAT score.

I don't think they have a fixed number. They might have an overall idea of 12-15% Indians for the entire batch. But in terms of R1 vs R2, I doubt if they have fixed numbers for each round since they have rolling admissions.
