Congrats! I would also lean towards Johnson. Babson is an interesting program but it has a number of red flags about it including a very large international student population. I could see going there if you wanted to start your own company and you could graduate almost debt-free. At the same time your job prospects will be greatly diminished due to lack of on campus recruiting.

Thanks for the advice

I already made a plea to Cornell with Babson offer and letter of acceptance.... let's what happens

By your experience with the site, what would be the chances for the admins give a financial aid help?

Not sure, I've never had first hand experience with financial aid pleas; however, at Ross I spoke with the director of admissions and he flat out said he doesn't understand why admitted individuals don't ask for more money, and then proceeded to say the worst you can be told is no and no one will hold it against you.

Cornell Pros

Where did you find the 57% number? School employment report? Is that at graduation?

Hi all,

I am in a similar confusion. I am a Indian candidate.

My options are Babson 2 year program with a full scholarship and ISB one year program with no scholarship

I have close to 5 years of work experience in the consulting field in the Insurance domain. I am definitely looking at a corporate job after my MBA.

While, ISB is a higher ranked program, it does not provide an international exposure. While with Babson, I am not too sure of how recruiters view the school! The brand value itself as well as the quality of the cohort. Your view is appreciated

Ranking of schools like Babson makes me question the rankings and the over all ranking system of US News and Bloomberg and FT and all the rest of them.
If that wasn’t enough time, it’s the # 1 program for entrepreneurship but it creates the least % or # of entrepreneurs.
So you know my vote now.
I would thinking that with the possible recession, doesn’t hurt applying to smaller schools in big cities like Baruch, Fordham, BU, BC, SJSU, USF, UIC... it’ll be easy to apply/network/interview for jobs.

How did you appeal for a scholarship from Cornell?

Telling them about the other offers I have received and about the current economic situation

But in the end after everything that happened I will not go to any program this year due to covid situation

I'm really sad to read about your case. From my early searching about MBA programs at that time, I discovered and still insists that ad come of Cornell are not welcoming and the have communication problem even when asking simple questions.
