As far as I know, it's certain from now on that we won't be eligible for round 1. Tomorrow is about wait pool or game-over, right? If there is one more chance to get invited for 12 November that's great but I believe today was our last chance for the first-round interview.

That is incorrect. I've had several clients get interview invites from Stanford on the last day of their range every round for several years. That is why they give that range -- the range INCLUDES the last day. Keep hope alive and best of luck!

So... Since it's official that I won't be interviewed for the first round, does anyone know when should I expect to get an email saying if I get a seat at wait pool or not?

For anyone out there who had their heart set on Stanford GSB, and only Stanford GSB, but learned they were denied admission this year: for what it's worth, I was denied the first year I applied to the GSB as well, but was admitted (and attended) the following year. It is absolutely possible. You'll need to understand and address any weaknesses in your application over the next year - whether that means retaking tests, taking on additional leadership roles inside and outside of work, showing quantifiable achievements, or getting more personal and crafting even more compelling essays. We at Stratus Admissions Counseling can help if you are interested - and in any case best of luck to you!

Hi! Mine went very well, my recommender was very nice and the interview was super conversational. I posted my interview debrief recently - check it out.

Hi happyjie. As per my research and the posts on various websites, successful candidates have received calls 1-3 days before the D-day. But many have also reported that they did not receive the call and found out that they were admitted by logging on to the portal on the decision day, although the numbers were very few.( probably there phone was not reachable or they were traveling etc). So if one doesn’t receive the call, it’s going to be a nervous few days!
