Received a mail with the title - The wait is almost over
Decision day is around the corner
And in the end there is a para - You’ll receive your admissions decision soon. Whether it’s good news or not-so-good news, your perfect-fit MBA is out there. If you have any questions before decision release, please reach out to
[email protected].
What do you guys think ? Are the decisions released earlier sometimes ?
1) That meaningless marketing email has been discussed on this forum many times.
2) Kellogg
does not call candidates or notify them early, absent a request to expedite a decision due to another school's deposit deadline. In fact, the Kellogg notification experience is very anti-climatic; admits receive an email the morning of the decision date inviting them to a rather generic Zoom meeting. I'll contrast Kellogg's approach to that of Berkeley Haas, which notified me four days early with a lovely, very personal call from an admissions committee member who knew the ins and outs of my narrative and background. Realistically, M7 schools just don't need to woo admits that way, whereas schools like Haas benefit from a subtle emotional appeal like an early call from admissions.
