Thanks Prodizy.

I did have a chat with the admission team and even met them in India / Singapore but they strictly do not entertain off-campus interview requests other than through skype which is set up by Tuck.

That means, will have to keep waiting with fingers crossed :)

Yes, the waiting game. What a pain. However, Tuck keeps updating the prospective students through out. I even received a thank you mail for submitting the scholarship docs :)

Best,
Prodizy

I did get just a "Thank You." email :)

Skype I'm pretty sure. I don't think the admissions team go abroad to interview.

thanks. if it is the case, I will definitely initiate the on campus interview myself. Don't like the skype interview.
I was asking because, there has always been Hub interview in China. AO flies every year to Shanghai for hub interview.

sure. I had received the confirmation that my documents are complete and further passed to committee for review on this monday.
Today I received another Email from another AO saying basically the same that my file is complete and will be reviewed shortly.
I don't understand why. hopefully it's a good sign.

Talked to one of the current German students when I was in Hanover - he had been interviewed via Skype.

Btw, I also did not get an "application conplete" email. Might be that they wait for the interview evaluation if an on campus intervew was scheduled?

Servus, I don't think this email is relevant to the whole process. It's solely a notification.
so never mind! :)

Hi everyone!

I received a 'Thank you' email from the AdCom after I sent the scholarship application on Tuesday.

Also, today I recieved an email that said: "This email is to inform you that your file is complete and in good standing for the Early Action Round of applications. Your file will shortly be reviewed by the Admissions Committee."

I applied last year also on early action and the AdCom never sent me an email like this. I'm not sure if this year they are sending this emails to everyone, or to reapplicants, or just randomly.

Best of luck to everyone!!

Hi Tuckies

My profile -
GMAT 680 (Q49, V32, AWA 5.5, IR 5)
WE - IT Consulting (Healthcare Insurance Domain), 9 yrs experience with varied experience. worked in US for 4.5 yrs.
GPA - 3.57 (Indian university)

I know Tuck is a great school and it would be a perfect fit for my career goals. I want to start my own consulting firm and an NGO post mba.
I am moving to New Hampshire in 2 weeks time and I would be within 1.5 hrs drive from Tuck. I am very keen on applying in Tuck for 11/6 deadline and I'll schedule an on-campus interview if I apply there. I have already done ground work on the essays as well.
I know if I visit the campus I'll write different essays, but I don't have time between on-campus interview & deadline (11/6).

Any suggestions? How should I go about it? How would you rate my chances?

Thanks in advance!

You might want to post this in the "Ask Admissions Consultants" forum. But from what you're saying, it sounds like you want to be able to visit campus before you write your essays, but you won't be able to do that because of the timing of your visit. What I'd say is that you should try writing as much as you can to answer the questions--get your basic arguments down and write those. Then when you visit Tuck, you can insert examples or anecdotes from your visits that support your arguments. that may be a way to fit in what you want to do with the timing that you have.

That said, I think Essay 1 is the one where experiences from a visit will help the most. I think you can make a lot of headway or finish completely the other essays before your visit.

I got mine too. I was a bit surprised since it seemed to be a personal email vs. a standard email that goes out to everyone. I can't remember, though, what I got last year.
