I know Tuck is a great school and it would be a perfect fit for my career goals. I want to start my own consulting firm and an NGO post mba.
I am moving to New Hampshire in 2 weeks time and I would be within 1.5 hrs drive from Tuck. I am very keen on applying in Tuck for 11/6 deadline and I'll schedule an on-campus interview if I apply there. I have already done ground work on the essays as well.
I know if I visit the campus I'll write different essays, but I don't have time between on-campus interview & deadline (11/6).
Any suggestions? How should I go about it? How would you rate my chances?
Thanks in advance!
You might want to post this in the "Ask Admissions Consultants" forum. But from what you're saying, it sounds like you want to be able to visit campus before you write your essays, but you won't be able to do that because of the timing of your visit. What I'd say is that you should try writing as much as you can to answer the questions--get your basic arguments down and write those. Then when you visit Tuck, you can insert examples or anecdotes from your visits that support your arguments. that may be a way to fit in what you want to do with the timing that you have.
That said, I think Essay 1 is the one where experiences from a visit will help the most. I think you can make a lot of headway or finish completely the other essays before your visit.
