Yaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhh!

That is all.
(For now.)

:angry to schools (yes, you HBS, NYU, Stanford) that say "under review" in January and pretend that they are on a Bahamas cruise with no means of communication and partying in complete ignorant bliss. Just give us an interview invite or ding us quickly and save us from the agony! Yaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhh :wall

Nice work, gkumar, you have perfectly interpreted my guttural exclamation of frustrated despair!
(Does this mean I've been spending too much time on these boards...?!)

What happened?! Worse than my Chicago interview where I was wearing silver rainboots with my suit the whole time? Worse than my Wharton interview where one security guard asked the other, "What does she want? Food delivery?"

You can tell us, unplugged. Misery loves company.

Hey, unplugged, maybe my little interview snippet will make you feel better: to a basic question of "tell me about a time you suggested a change at work" all I could think of was "I try to persuade my fellow employees to use a computer more and paper less and sometimes I succeed..."

I don't know.

My brain was operating on a different frequency. I couldn't answer the first 2 questions - the most important of them - why you're here? As in your past experiences, why MBA et al etc and Why kellogg?

I was seriously speechless, just blabbered in some unknown language. I think I had about 10-12 points for why kellogg questions? I managed to tell only 3 or 4.

It felt so bad - tears started rolling down my eyes as soon as the interview was completed. Yes, I cried yesterday with a bottle of beer in my hand.

Did you interview on campus with a parttime member of the Adcom?

Sorry, unplugged, that sounds stressful! And I've cried over lesser things than that. But I'm sure the interviewers are used to people getting really nervous and blanking out. Maybe you can do a little damage control in a thank you note?

Thanks Aenigma,

I can't do that because it was a phone int and I didn't get her name. She was definitely from the adcom though.

Don't worry, I'm sure whoever interviewed you has had much worse. Also, I hear interviews are just normal checks to make sure you're not some creeptastic basement-living weirdo. At least, that's what I hope, given how my interviews went! I'm pretty sure I replayed every little mistake I made in my interviews in my head for the past two weeks ... and the only thing that will remedy my psychosis is getting a final decision!!!

What? Maybe I shouldn't have put "home fungiculture" on my resume?

Nope. Keep it on; it shows your entrepreneurial bent and your willingness to take risks.

Had the same experience with the same school, but did not cry with a bottle of beer. Phone interview too, same adcom interviewer perhaps...
Living in a remote area sucks. Out of the four schools I managed to get an interview with, three were phone interviews. And I hate phone interviews, this is soooo awkward for international applicants! Well, I'm just waiting for the decision without much hope.

Am feeling rather powerless at the moment. I'm really glad the last 2 schools I have to hear from have specific notification days so I don't have to check my email obsessively, but at the same time, it feels like the seconds are ticking away at a snail's pace until those days, I can't keep myself busy enough, even at work!

in an effort to pass time waiting for R2 decisions, I re-read my Kellogg and Yale essays, and I found a few blantant grammatical errors. I had an admissions consultant and had 3-4 people read my essays. How is it after that and after I read my essays at least 10 times each, I still have errors!??! UGGGHHHHHHHHH

Yeah I feel you; I've been brainwashing myself with work, doing and memorizing gym workout routines 5x week, and Criminal Minds (zomg, amazing show, how did I ever miss this years ago?!) to help me forget and make time pass by seemingly quickly.
