We need a value for p to be able to answer to get an exact value for the term. (A range is not sufficient)
(1) p is negative. Different negative values yields dfferent answers. Not sufficient.
(2) p is either 3 or -3. The two generates different answers. Not sufficient.
(1&2) Only -3 fulfills the conditions above.
C is the answer
