What MBA consultant would you all suggest?

Also, I haven't given my GMAT yet. Should I think about it after?
Hi NS1937

I would suggest you to read the reviews of various admission consultants on this link. All of these are verified reviews and thus truly reliable. Many of these consultants also provide free trial as in free consulting for the first hour or so. I am sure you'll find the right consultant to help working with your dream b-school once you have a look at those.

As far as GMAT is concerned, you should at least take an official mock exam (one of the 2 free practice exams from mba.com) so as to determine your baseline as any admission consultant won't be able to help much without getting to know anything about your current GMAT level.

Hope this helps!

It depends on when you are applying. Its beneficial to start having discussions with consultants atleast 3 months before you start applying. You can sign up with one once you have a GMAT score in hand, although if that period is very close to your target deadlines, then your preferred consultant may not have the bandwidth to work with you. So it would help to initiate the discussions now if you intend to apply this year.

Hello NS1937,

Hope this finds you well.

There is no harm in enrolling with an Admissions Consultant even prior to your GMAT as you could use the additional time at hand to actually work on improving your profile on various fronts. The basic storyline and career goals will remain unchanged irrespective of your GMAT score so enrolling in advance gives you more time to engage in one on one discussions and is always the better move! :-)

Hope you were able to find someone to guide you through the journey.

All the best!

The MBA application process can feel overwhelming, especially for someone like me, who belongs to a group of applicants that's overrepresented. But thanks to "Dream School Admit" and Arvind, I received an acceptance from NYU Stern, fulfilling my dream of studying in New York City and making the process memorable. I also received an offer from USC Marshall with an $80k scholarship, giving me options to consider based on my financial needs.

Initially, I explored various options and felt confused about choosing the right consultant. Then I found Arvind, and immediately felt a connection with him and his approach to presenting my profile. Despite being ready to finalize him as my consultant, Arvind, being a true gentleman, introduced me to a couple of his previous clients so I could get honest feedback about working with him. His experience and understanding of each school's expectations, as well as which school would suit my profile best, are unparalleled. We went through multiple revisions until we were both satisfied with how my story was portrayed. Arvind, acting as a mentor, helped me not only define my goals for the applications but also provided clarity on what I truly wanted to pursue post-MBA.

I never imagined applying to some of the top-tier universities, but with Arvind's commitment and professionalism , I received interview invitations from 7 out of 8 schools I applied to. Despite initial rejections, Arvind remained supportive like a friend and believed in our efforts. I recall him being happier than me and celebrating when I was accepted to NYU Stern. If you're seeking someone who is always available, adept at identifying weaknesses in your application and strengthening them, and genuinely invested in your success as a mentor, then Arvind and Dream School Admit are the right choice for you.

I received top-notch support from Dream School Admit for my MBA applications. With their invaluable support and guidance, I got admitted to Darden, Duke, and IESE. I have decided to attend the FT MBA (2024-2026) program at Darden.

I would like to highlight why I chose Dream School Admit and have since never regretted my decision. These guys are unique in their approach to understanding the entire story of the applicant and helping the applicant themself understand what they bring to the table, even when the applicants don't know it themselves. They have made the entire process very structured and methodical. As Arvind, their Principal Consultant, once told me, you meet some people in life who act as inflection points and completely change the trajectory of your journey for the better. Well, in my case, that has been Dream School Admit.

I am grateful for their support and strongly recommend them to anyone seeking help with their MBA applications.

I worked with Arvind from Dream School Admit for my MBA applications and will be heading to Ross school of business this fall. Throughout the arduous and often tumultuous application journey, punctuated by personal ups and downs, Arvind became more than just a consultant to me. He emerged as a mentor, a constant pillar of strength, and a voice of wisdom during moments of self-doubt. Given my slightly non-traditional and highly technical work experience, I encountered difficulties in crafting a résumé that showcased quantifiable results and essays that were both convincing and easy to follow. Arvind worked tirelessly with me, patiently iterating through numerous drafts until we achieved perfection.

The next hurdle was the interview. I recall one particular interview preparation session where I found myself completely blank, stumbling over my words, and eventually giving up in the middle of the mock. Arvind displayed remarkable patience and understanding, restoring my confidence in my ability to excel. Despite several failed attempts, we eventually concluded the mock on a positive note, and I carried the lessons learned into the actual interview as well.

All of these efforts culminated in my receiving a 50% scholarship offer from both Michigan Ross and Dartmouth Tuck. While many might assume the journey ends here, for those fortunate enough to receive multiple offers, choosing the one that best aligns with their future goals is a daunting task in itself. I remember bombarding Arvind with what I believed to be the minutest of concerns, yet each question was met with an exceptionally insightful answer. I sincerely doubt I would have achieved any of this without Arvind’s invaluable assistance.

I would recommend Arvind from Dream School Admit. Below is a glimpse of my journey with him.

The last 2+ years' journey with Arvind and Dream School Admit has been nothing short of transformative. With Arvind's expert guidance, I embarked on a path that not only unlocked the doors to some of the top B-schools but also reshaped my entire approach towards personal and professional growth.

From the outset, Arvind demonstrated an unparalleled depth of knowledge and a keen understanding of the intricate nuances of the MBA admissions process. When I first connected with him in 2021, I was grappling with uncertainties regarding my GMAT score and lacked clarity on which schools aligned with my aspirations. Arvind not only provided invaluable insights to enhance my profile but also meticulously researched and handpicked schools that resonated with my passion for energy and sustainability.

What truly sets Arvind apart is his commitment to crafting authentic narratives. He skillfully helped me weave my experiences into a compelling story, delving into childhood memories to connect the dots and highlight my unique journey. His encouragement to explore deeper layers of self-reflection not only enriched my application essays but also fostered personal growth and enhanced my overall well-being.

Arvind's dedication didn't stop at application submission; he continued to support me through mock interviews and provided invaluable advice on navigating the transition to the Dream MBA. His professionalism is exemplary, as he approached every aspect of the application process with the same level of dedication, whether it was refining a letter of recommendation or fine-tuning a minor detail in the application.

Most importantly, Arvind created a safe and supportive environment where I could openly share my vulnerabilities without fear of judgment. His unwavering belief in my potential helped me overcome self-doubt and embrace this transformative journey with confidence.

Today, as I reflect on the multiple offers from esteemed institutions like Berkeley Haas, Ross (with a 40k scholarship), Yale, and UCLA, I am grateful to Arvind for his instrumental role in turning my dream into reality.

I started working with Arvind from Dream School Admit because of our first call. He was honest about my chances, my strengths and weaknesses, and which universities would be the right choices. His experience working with a multitude of candidates was evident as we narrowed down the target colleges for Round 1. His clear and transparent approach made me trust him with my future. I had spoken to tens of consultants, but the energy Arvind brought was unparalleled.

The first school we worked on was Kellogg, a highly selective business school. I still remember that we spent a considerable amount of time on the Kellogg application. The brainstorming session we had before working on the essays helped me organize my thoughts and finalize the storyline. After our brainstorming session, I crafted the essay and submitted it for his review. The first time I read the essay he had edited, I got goosebumps looking at the way he modified my narrative. He added feelings and emotions to a raw story. Looking back, I am really surprised by the story we finally used in my essay. I would not have even thought of it. He understood what was unique about my experiences and used that to push me to think in the right direction. Many times, I felt that there was no flow in the first draft of the essays I wrote, but after Arvind had edited them, they looked impeccable. Another aspect of my experience that stands out was Arvind’s prompt replies throughout the process, which enabled us to submit all the applications on time.

In total, I took his help for six schools and received acceptances from four: Kellogg, Haas ($50K scholarship), Stern ($50K scholarship), and Anderson ($60K scholarship).

I've finally decided to take Kellogg and I can't wait to begin my journey at an M7 school. I am grateful to Arvind for his invaluable support and guidance, which have been instrumental in achieving this milestone in my academic and professional journey. I am sure I will keep reaching out to him for his guidance throughout my career.
