Hi. I'm in a situation that I'm not sure whether many others have been in before. I have already received admission from Simon and have to make the non-refundable 1st deposit soon. I am also waiting for the decision of two other schools including Tepper. The notification dates of these two schools and the deadline for making the deposit are on the same day, March 4th.
Do you think it is normal or wise to email Tepper and ask them to let me know their decision sooner - because they are my priority? If so, how would you say it?
Thank you!

I would think that the best approach is to ask an extension of deadline from Simon rather than asking Tepper to release your decision early.
I have heard of many cases where schools afforded 10 days or 2 weeks of extension on their deposit dates, but I am yet to know about an instance where a school released decision early for a student (unless the student concerned was wait-listed in an earlier round).
Schools specifically have hard deposits deadlines that are designed to be BRFORE the decision deadlines. There is likely 0.01 chance you will get either one to grant you am extension or an early decision. However you can always ask but i never in the past have heard of a positive answer.

Hello,
I was in a similar situation with BC Carroll as you ae with Simon. I asked extension from BC and approved. Therefore I would suggest asking extension from Simon by telling them that you want to see all your options while keeping them happy by telling how happy you are by the acceptance you recieved.
