As its use increases 50% that is its use multiples by 3/2 so the supply decreases 50% and lasts 15 days.
Option A

Given: A supply of heating oil lasts for thirty days. Its use is increased by 50%.

Asked: How many days would the same amount of heating oil last?

Let consumption of heating oil per day be x
30x amount of heating oil is sufficient for 30 days

Its use is increased by 50%.
Use is now 1.5x per day

Supplies will last = 30x/1.5x = 20 days

old rate=1/30
new rate=3/2*1/30=1/20
20 days

The number of days it would last is 30/(1.5) = 20 days.

Alternate Solution:

Suppose that the regular consumption is 2 gallons per day. Since the supply lasts for 30 days, the supply is 2 x 30 = 60 gallons. If the consumption is increased by 50%, then 2 x 1.5 = 3 gallons is used each day and this is enough for 60/3 = 20 days.
