Haas is STEM so you have a longer time to repay loans and then have the degree and experience after that. Do not go to Cornell for 50K, I mean seriously 😒 you will get a good paying job after graduation if you do it go for Haas IMO

No one should expect merit awards just blanket statement - they are a happy bonus not a loan plan

Ok, so. I screwed up. I saw that the dates were showing available and hadn’t booked my TOEFL at-home date yet. It still shows available but there is no time slot available before Haas R2 deadlines. I have no idea what to do :\

Obviously, only I am to blame, but in case, anyone has any advice, would really appreciate any help.

MyBlitheAccuracy, the TOEFL does not provide an unofficial score like GMAT does. And they take 5-10 business days to release your official score. So I am afraid the time to take the TOEFL for R2 deadline was sometime in Dec last year.

You can ask the admissions committee if they can allow you to submit without it and if you can send the scores directly later on.

mlaframb, I think if you have a scholarship option at a slightly lower ranked school that will get you your Post-MBA job you must take that. Since I see you have other options. Lot of people underestimate the freedom to get out of school without debt. Unless it is H/S. You have a great GMAT so can be considered.

Hello guys ,

Is anybody 100% sure on whether self reported TOEFL/GMAT scores suffice for the application evaluation process, or whether we have to send the official scores before submitting? (The instructions on the Haas website are ambiguous)

I requested IELTS to send the scores in December, they still haven't sent it.

Just self-report the scores and share the TRF if it is requested. That's my plan. In any case, apply for the TRF from IELTS parallely.

Strangely, Haas asks for a registration number for IELTS and I didn't find any on my TRF.

On GMAT, I can't add much as my scores were already confirmed from Haas's side.

I just read on Slack (it's an app that Haas uses to answer questions ) that self reporting will suffice and that afterwards if someone is accepted then they will want them to send the official scores. (that is what the adcom member answered)

Yeah, that sounds right. I mean if a school finds that you are misrepresenting scores, you're screwed anyway.

Though, I'd still suggest you send the scores online for GMAT and IELTS asap. GMAT scores are sent immediately too.

Well, I mean if you do that before you have an official acceptance from the university then it is a little bit waste of money. If I get accepted I will send them as many official test reports as they want haha

How come it is free ? I pay about 40 dollars for Gmat and 20 dollars for TOEFL for each university . The only time when they are free is when you are at the test center during the exams.

I sent my GMAT scores (online test) to 15 schools even though I applied to only 7. IELTS was sent to 5 schools. All of this was free.

Maybe you gave your GMAT pre-2020? Just a hunch as I'm sure it was made free to send scores since.

Strange, no I gave my Gmat in 2021, it could be that it only applies for those who sat for the online version (I guess?).

That isn't the case. Check this link: the bullet points explicitly state that sending scores is complementary.
