Re: Calling all BYU Marriott MBA Applicants: (2018 Intake) Class of 2020! [#permalink]
Their recruiter contacted me and I spoke with a couple of current students. I couldn't be happier with how the program seems and it's moved up to nearly the top of my list.
I asked the recruiter if they could speed up the normal timeline to match some personal requirements and they invited me for an interview within 2 days.

Hello,

I have a couple of queries.

1. Is there no application fee?
2. How much time does the credential evaluation take to reach the school?
Plus, there are two detailed review, one is for $165 and the other one is for $185, which one should I need to order for my MBA program?

Thanks!

Hi.
I want to apply to BYU.
But I will be applying in Round 3.
If I score well (say about 730, I have 650 now), can I get a scholarship then?

I interviewed on the 9th, the committee met on the 11th and I got an unofficial acceptance email on the 12th, notifying me that "Admissions Committee has recommended you for admission to the MBA program". I then got the official email on Tuesday the 16th. [#permalink]

I have submitted application on 14th Jan 2018. My application was completed on 17th Jan 2018. Normally, how long do they take to review application ?

I will apply in R3. I have gone through the application requirements. Could someone re-confirm the essay requirement ?
As I find - there is only one space as " Statement of Intent" as below :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prepare a separate document and upload here.

The purpose of the statement of intent is to provide information which is not included in your application or academic records and which may be useful to the admissions committee. Write a carefully constructed statement of your academic preparation and goals, indicating how graduate work fits into those goals. Statements are generally 1-2 pages but may have more specific requirements by department. This statement gives the admissions committee an opportunity to learn the following:
your preparation and background for the program to which you are applying and the special emphasis you hope to pursue in it,
your academic or professional goals and reasons for your choice of career,
your particular academic or professional reasons for applying to Brigham Young University and the scholarly or professional contributions you expect to make to your program;
your expected graduate degree completion date, and
(optional) any special circumstances you wish the department to consider, such as whether or not you plan to attend full-time, circumstances that may have affected undergraduate academic performance, test scores, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there any addtional requirement as Essay?

They only need you to upload one statement of intent. There are no essays.

Re: Calling all BYU Marriott MBA Applicants: (2018 Intake) Class of 2020! [#permalink]
Hi, I'm applying this year (Fall 2019) and wondering what my chances are for admission.

I have taken GMAT a couple of times.

The best score I got is 650 (Q49 V30).

It seems like I'm not really making any progress with my verbal, which is very frustrating.

I have worked 43 months of work experience as of now.

Most recently, I have spent the last 2 & 1/2 years in pharmaceuticals.

Since I'm in medical department, I don't have any background in marketing, sales, or operatioin management.

However, I want to swtich my career path to marketing with analysis/strategy minor.

Do you think I have strong background to compensate my relatively low GMAT score?

I really don't want to take GMAT again (I will though if I have to) and don't know if I wil do any better next time with verbal.

Help????????
