Hi,

Anyone who applied in R1 still waiting to hear back from adcom?
Though the R1 decision date has passed I am yet to hear from the adcom. I was interviewed on 11th December.

Yes, exact same situation. I am thinking to drop adcom an email if I don't hear until Monday EOD in Minnesota.

First off,thank you so much for taking time out to help the applicants on the Forum.Really appreciate that.
I checked the Carlson's website and noticed that Delhi/NCR isn't included as one of the locations in the coffee sessions.
Due to work commitments, it makes it extremely difficult for people living in Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi/NCR regional belt (such as myself) to attend one.

I would have loved to attend one.

Hi Stonecold,

I understand your concern and constraints. None of the current students who are from Delhi/NCR are traveling to India this winter break. Similarly, those of us traveling to India are unable to visit Delhi/NCR. Hence, we do not have any group coffee chats in India this time.

If it helps, there was an online webinar a few days ago (more may come soon) and there is a Q&A session with admissions on Jan 10th https://carlsonschool.umn.edu/events/vi ... ull-time-0. So keep checking https://carlsonschool.umn.edu/events. Also, by sending an email with your background and career interests to mbagrad@umn.edu, you can request the admissions team to introduce you to a candidate who has a similar background and career interest for a phone call.

Congrats! You are a step closer to success :-)

Let me share my experience so that it may help all future applicants :-)

The interview was very conversational. It revolved around the general questions- Why MBA? Why now? Short Term and Long Term Goals? Why Carlson?
There were follow up questions related to the challenges faced in profession, leadership style and experience in diverse teams.
Then comes the last part - 2 minutes improptu speech on any topic you like. They might give an example to help you decide a topic as well.

My advice: Be confident. Be thorough with your essays and resume. Do your research on the school and also convey during the interview you have done that <Shows your interest in the school>.
