Got my interview invitation today. Submitted 9/2.

Congrats! I submitted my app 8/31, but I submitted a new GMAT score within the 3 week period. I wonder if the admissions committee ,reviewed my app without the updated score. I guess I will have to wait 3 more weeks to find out the outcome.

I submitted mine 9/1 with no word yet... not good.

Do invites come by mass email?

Judging from this thread I don't think so.

This is a little premature because obviously I haven't been accepted, but here is my rundown:

GMAT: 730 but high verbal/lower quant split
3.4 GPA from top 15ish non-ivy in Economics
College athlete
3 years in finance both in industry and financial services with one promotion and abnormal high level exposure
White male
Very involved in extra curriculars (committees, volunteering, etc)
Very clear and obtainable career goals which are only a small pivot from my current path
I think very good essays
I didn't see my recommendations so I can't opine there

Sorry to hear that - If you don't mind I'd be interested in hearing more about your profile.
My apologies for the delay...congrats on the interview invite though. I hope you get in!

25 y/o Asian Female / US Born / Finance undergrad at Canadian University
Analyst - 2.6 years work experience corporate investment banking at top 5 Canadian bank (US coverage since the team moved from San Fran and covers all US tech)
Supervisor indicated that I would have been promoted to associate if I wasn't planning on going to school next year; however, such a promise cannot be communicated on my resume
Application round: J-term
Pros (guessing): recommendations and maybe 2/3 of my essays
Cons: GPA (3.21), lack of entrepreneurial experience and no identified roles in the community (volunteer a couple times a year and run marathons for fundraising)
Career goals: PE in the healthcare space
Suggestions for other J-term applicants: demonstrate that you have a strong business mind, independence and proven leadership skills.

Folks who applied before me have been dinged.
Folks who applied after me have been extended interviews.
I guess CBS is still undecided about my candidature

Having applied August 31, the optimist in me feels the same way. But the pessimist in me thinks it's only a matter of time until I get dinged.

I am absolutely shocked that you haven't been invited to interview with those amazing stats.

I'm glad that I'm an MLT fellow because getting into business school is not just about high numbers. Columbia gets enough applications from folks who are techincally admissible, but beyond the numbers what will you bring to the program. I will wait patiently and see what happens. Good luck to all of those who are still waiting.

Anyone else who has gotten an interview have trouble scheduling the interview? I seemingly have been ignored by one person and I'm trying to time when I should email the next person.

Rejected 9/25

I was hoping that you would get accepted :(
Can you please share your thoughts on the piece in your application that might have gone wrong? May be later, if not right now.

Best of luck with other applications though.
