Interview invites will be sent out through April for round two; I would not worry if you have not heard anything yet because the admissions committee is still going through all the applications. I am a current second-year student and student interviewer. We are still getting new interview holds placed on our calendar for next month. My advice is to relax! You’ve put in countless hours until this point and your best foot forward. I know it is easier said than done, but I personally would not stress over something that is out of my hands at this point :)
Thanks, Pengui; these words are a relief as they come straight from a second-year student.

Are number of applications higher at Cornell this year as compared to the previous few years?
+1, please if you can reply

While writing the above two messages, I got an email from Cornell asking about missing TOEFL/IELTS score report

If you have missed the TOEFL/IELTS minimum score requirement, all you have to do is reply back to this email in this format:

“I, Geetansh Kohli, confirm that I am aware of my English proficiency score not meeting the minimum requirement recommended for the program, but due to my other qualifications, I am able to attest that my score report is not an accurate reflection of my true fluency in the English language. Please move forward with my current application.”

Or

“I would like to retake the exam. I plan to retake the exam on (Retake Exam Date). Please let me know if this timeline would work for the committee as well.”

Shall I go with the first, please suggest. The reason I am asking the question is I want to confirm whether the first statement can have an adverse effect on my application

Same. Are we supposed to submit TOEFL/IELTS? I was under the impression that IELTS requirements are waived for Indian grad students if the medium of instruction is in English

https://www.johnson.cornell.edu/program ... uirements/. It says here that "If English is not your native language, and you have not earned a university degree in an English-speaking country, you are required to submit official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam."

You have earned a university degree from a non-English-speaking country and can provide official documentation that states the sole language of educational instruction was English. Documentation must be provided when submitting your application and should be uploaded in the transcript section.

I’m not sure what "official documentation" means here. Should I be uploading program brochure in addition to my transcripts? I have uploaded the transcript and degree certificate already...

What I did was to get an english proficiency letter from my undergrad institution.

Just request from your college an english proficiency letter and upload it. In the letter your college will state the medium of instruction was solely in English

I'm not privy to that information unfortunately. Usually that piece of information gets announced when the class profile is published.

Happy to answer any other questions!

Agreed, not time to worry yet, as of today, I can confirm that at least one person I know who is guaranteed an interview for attending diversity weekend has not yet received their invite.

My status was under review since last Tuesday and now this morning it has turned to Schedule interview, however, I haven't received any official email from admissions team regarding the interview yet.

Don't lose hope guys

Congratulations buddy!

My status is still "incomplete". Wondering if anyone else’s status was changed post submission of missing documents.

I spoke with a current alumni on reddit. It helps. But doesn’t have much impact.

To quote " 0.5 to 1 points out of 100"

Also who is recommending, how often has he recommended and various other factors matter. My endorser’s own son couldn’t get much help with his dad endorsement. His kid didn’t even get an interview or wl w/o. Straight away rejected.

What’s up with Cornell? Why are they so casual about this whole process?

I feel other schools are more active and forthright
