Should we consider rejected if not invited

Looking at the last year invite data, over 95% of the invites went in January and February

So, at this point, Yes, the optimism should start to fade away and end completely with February 29th.

If you are like me, the rip-off band aid guy, yes, we are rejected.

Darden invites 1-2 reapplicants every 2 years. it’s one of those rare schools that are very hostile to reapplicants.

This is patently false. Darden is incredibly welcoming to reapplicants

Agree with the fact above. Adcom said something like around 5-10% of classes on avg is reapplicant so that’s 17 to 35 per year (I am also sure there are other reapplicants who got accepted and decided not to attend so I am sure the number is more of at least 40 to 60 per year)

Considering Darden yield rate is high 30/low 40 typically

By any chance do you have the source for this?

Absolutely: https://poetsandquants.com/2023/09/01/h ... rograms/2/

This data is for 2022 so I add the context of "High 30/low 40s" as we don’t know for a certain what yield this year will be but the data should give you a rough idea

I’m me on this website, so take that as a reliable source. But I’m also a Darden first year, so take that to heart as well — Darden loves reapplicants and admits a decent number who were on the waitlist the prior year

Does Darden waitlist without interviewing or is it a straight reject?

ironman_97, I believe they waitlist without interview, but now I’m speaking without certainty
