Thanks Prudhviraju, and good to know about the same question in the interview part.

It would catch someone off guard if they are not prepared for it. So, thanks for the heads-up :)

I also heard from one of our moderators that we shouldn’t write more than a couple of names. For ex- if someone is applying to 5-6 schools. Writing all those names might act negatively like the student is not exactly focused on our school. S/he applied to so many others so they just want admission to our school as an option, not a choice.

Do you think that still applies for Early Action given that, if admitted, the decision is binding? Wouldn’t applying EA indicate to the admissions committee that Fuqua is your first choice?

So if application is selected for interview; decision would be released on sept 23 ? Or did I loose my chance of interview ?

Please share some experiences..

I applied to EA and still got this question, So even though the decision is binding, you are still going to get the question. so be prepared[/quote] Same! My interview was with an AdCom member, and she asked "Which other schools are you applying to and how would you make the choice if you get through all of them". I started by saying why I think Fuqua is the right fit for me and then I stated that that’s the reason why I applied to the EA round because of how sure I was, and then I mentioned the factors that differentiates Fuqua from the other schools in my list. I think this is when she said that she wasn’t aware of the fact that I was an EA candidate, and that my answer makes sense. So my advice would be to sneakily mention the slight differences between Fuqua and other schools and why Fuqua is your top preference (if it genuinely is). And then just mention 3 schools that are peer schools from the US (for example, Ross, Cornell and Tuck). That’s the advice I got from my admissions consultant

Hello Everyone,
I applied in Round 1, but could not schedule an interview during open interview period. Has anyone been in such situation? When can I expect interview invite if any?

Hello everyone, Where do I find details around the 1Y MBA at Duke? There is hardly anything beyond the website.

Fuqua’s Round 1 application deadline is on Monday, September 26, so if you plan to submit your application in this round, please submit by 11:59 pm ET on September 26. To ensure that you have all of the materials required to complete your application, we encourage you to review the application checklist.

In the application form where they asked for the other schools I was applying to, I was honest and responded with all the other schools I was applying to (8 in total). I applied in EA. Will this be read negatively by the adcom?
